In preclinical studies, electrophysiology can be a useful biomarker for measuring the function of the spinal motor neurons, sensory neurons, peripheral motor nerves, and spontaneous nerve firing. In this presentation, we present an overview of electrophysiology and demonstrate its use as a biomarker in specific models of pain and neurodegeneration.
