Webinar: Chemotherapy-induced Pain
Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral Pain (CIPN)
Evaluating the neuroprotective effects of pain therapies following chemotherapy treatment.
Chemotherapy treatments frequently result in painful neuropathies and neurotoxicity. Chemotherapy-induced neuropathy tends to progress during treatment and generally resides once treatment stops. It is estimated, however, that in 30% of cases it may persist up to 6 months after chemotherapy treatment has finished. Symptoms include motor and sensory, can be prolonged and severe, and is difficult to treat.
In this webinar, we discuss in vivo and in vitro models for assessing the underlying mechanisms of CIPN and the neuroprotective effects of compounds.
