About this webinar:

Painful diabetic polyneuropathy, defined as pain caused by lesions of the somatosensory system, is attributed to diabetes. A commonly used treatment for diabetic neuropathic pain targets the a2d unit of the voltage gate calcium ion channel (VGCC). This treatment has also been shown to attenuate the inflammatory component that is related to diabetes. This study suggests that the activity is regimen-dependent, and demonstrates a MoA of the cross-talk between the inflammatory process and treatment effect in the spinal cord.
